René Huybrechtse graduated (scenario & direction) at the Film academy in Amsterdam in 1984. In that same year he founded Theorema Films. First he made sensational television programs mainly for youth, including: Hotel Amor, Hangar 6 and Blast You (winner Prix Jeunesse International). And since 1996 he mostly develops and produces feature films and documentaries. In 2005 René Huybrechtse also founded Dutch Mountain Movies BV.
